Daytona Beach
Alternating between secluded and busy stretches of sand (some of which you can still drive automobiles on), the Daytona Beach area offers plenty of family-style recreation and attractions as well as world famous annual events. The beach itself has an ocean park atmosphere, with vendors offering everything from hot dogs to motorbike rentals.
Directions: Take I-4 east to FL-400 east. Turn left onto FL-5A north. Turn right onto U.S.-92/west, International Speedway Blvd

Cocoa Beach
One of the more affordable vacation havens, the choices Cocoa Beach offers are endless. Relax on the soft sands of Cocoa Beach , go deep-sea fishing in the Atlantic or explore ancient cypress forests by airboat. Spend a peaceful evening watching the sun set on the Indian or Banana Rivers , and then head out to the exciting nightlife scene.
Directions: Take the Bee Line Expressway (Route 528) east until it ends at SR A1A.

You won't find many places where nature exists in harmony with technology, but it does in Cape Canaveral on Florida 's Space Coast . You'll also find pristine beaches, fabulous fishing and great golfing, things that make a Florida vacation great, all within easy driving distance of Florida 's biggest attractions.

Klondike Beach
Klondike Beach is a 24 mile wilderness beach and accessible only by foot. It is located at the center of Canaveral National Seashore, between Apollo Beach that is at the south end of Volusia County and Playa Linda Beach that is at the north end of Brevard County.

New Smyrna Beach
Many visitors to the area like to escape to the relaxing sands of New Smyrna Beach . Its 13 miles of pristine beaches are a popular stopping place for families with small children. The town's quiet charm, historic architecture and water views have earned it praise as the "Old Florida."
Directions: Take I-4 east. Then take the SR-44 exit-Exit 56-towards New Smyrna Beach.

Ormond Beach
Ormond Beach , at the area's northern tip of Daytona Beach and was once a playground for America 's early millionaires including John D. Rockefeller. Known as the "Birthplace of Speed," the city played host to Florida 's first auto races on its hard-packed sand.

Clearwater Beach
Known for beautiful beaches and picturesque sunsets, Clearwater holds the record for the most days of sunshine (361). The "Sunsets at Pier 60" festival takes place every Thursday through Monday evening two hours before sunset to two hours past sunset. Other attractions at Clearwater Beach include boat and sailing charters, cruises, para-sailing, watercraft rentals, diving charters and nightly entertainment
Directions: Head west on I-4 to I-275 south. Go west on SR 60.

Redington Beach
Plenty of space to spread out and plenty of room for the kids to play- Redington Beach has an excellent family beach. Vacationers from all over the world are drawn to its lovely white sand and warm Gulf waters.
Directions: Take I-4 west to I-275 south. Then take the SR-694 west exit-Exit 15-towards Pinellas Park / Seminole. Merge onto Gandy Blvd. North, which becomes Park Blvd. North . Turn left onto Seminole Blvd. Go onto Tom Stuart Causeway.

Fort De Soto Park, Tierra Verde
Located at the entrance to Tampa Bay , this 900-acre park features two beautiful swimming beaches and two fishing beaches, as well as a picnic shelter and museum fort. The park doesn't take reservations, and limits the number of people there at once, so arriving in the morning is your best bet.
Directions: Take I-4 west. Then take I-275 south until SR- 682 West 54th Ave South exit-Exit 4-towards
Pinellas Bayway / St. Petersburg Beach.
